TOWNHOME

  • Townhouses can be rented or purchased

  • Townhouse is often referred to its architectural style. Often a single-family home with multiple floors

  • Often have small backyard and front yard.

  • Generally there are HOA fees but usually lower maintenance fees

  • Share one or two walls with neighboring unites, but don’t have unites below or above

CONDO

  • Condominiums are more like a community. They are built of units within a larger complex.

  • Generally, they are smaller than a townhouse

  • They can be part of a skyrise of a collection of cottages

  • One way to think of it is like an Apartment, but each unit is owned property

  • There are often homeowner association fees since there are shared spaces and maintenance..

  • Often, condos have other amenities like gyms, pools, clubs etc.
